Today I am sharing the Airbnb Constantia Cape Town French Cottage. Romantic accommodation in Cape Town; a 2 sleeper cottage. An exciting new addition to French Styled Welgelee Stables. With a large shared pool.

Designed for privacy, pleasure & intimate luxury. Stylish, yet simple kitchen; Smeg gas stove, oven, decadent cutlery & crockery, generous food preparation areas, opens up into a spacious, open-plan lounge & dining area.
This Airbnb Constantia Cape Town French Cottage is elegantly upholstered chairs & settee are placed in front of a generous fireplace. High ceilings with exposed wooden beams & a white screed floor offset classic furniture and old oil paintings.
The Victorian daybed in the lounge can be used by a child. The bathroom is large and welcoming and boasts a walk-in shower and a dual-basin vanity with a large mirror and good lighting. A Victorian bath on a raised platform looks out over the secluded cottage garden.
The bedroom is separated from the main lounge and dining area by a generous hanging curtain that can be left open or closed for greater intimacy. The bedroom has a king-size sleigh bed and the double French doors open onto a secluded shade garden with an outdoor shower. Adjacent to the kitchen is a covered outdoor patio with a generously cushioned bench running along one wall, perfect for relaxing on a sunny afternoon. There is also a table for outdoor dining.

Welgelee is the last remaining land of a large dairy farm. The property is over 6 acres and also rents the neighbouring greenbelt for paddock grazing. The greenbelt provides beautiful walks along a river bordered by indigenous fynbos and is safe and fairy level for all ages. The estate itself comprises a Main House, 2-holiday guest cottages (The romantic French Cottage and the 2 bedrooms Stable Cottage) and the larger converted Silos (Silos at Welgelee) which sleeps 8 and 2 kids. January 2021 I loved staying at this beautiful cottage. The bed is very comfortable. It’s on a secure farm, very safe with safe parking. It has all the finishings you could want and is excellently decorated. The tub is worth the whole stay. Anna is very attentive and really went the extra mile. The horses add a lot of charm. Great if you need to escape and relax, or if you’re planning a small honeymoon in Cape Town.

February What a beautiful place to stay. Very green surroundings next to Tokai forest. The farm itself is a gem with lovely animals and a relaxing pool area. Anna is a great host, very helpful. Will definitely come again soon.
